I would like to know who you all would vote for and why, because it is a very important issue. We should in some aspect be involved in our electoral process as citizens. Even Elizabeth.

Top 2 reasons to vote for McCain:

1. Commander in Chief Hillary
2. Commander in Chief Obama

Other reasons:
-Small government
-Not purveyor of socialism (not 50% taxes, not unlimited welfare, not anti-guns, not socialized health care, etc.)
-Strict constructionist (relatively)
-Listens to military generals, recognizes need for national security
-Fiscal conservative
-Social conservative (e.g. pro-life, traditional marriage)

So two main reasons to vote for McCain:
1) Pro-life
2) Anti-gay marriage

Other than that, I disagree with a lot of what he wants to do. He knows very little about the economy. IN FACT, he was asked in a debate about how he would help the economy and he completely ignored the question and talked about the war on Iraq.

I think he may ruin the economy by expanding the war on Iraq since it's not winnable (they won't accept a government they have heard nothing about except through OUR puppet president). I by no means agree with Obama or Hillary's view on the economy, esp. for healthcare, but it seems as though McCain's ignorant.

Oh well, I'll grudgingly vote for him. He's not even a true conservative anyway. Maybe Ron Paul will win by some miracle. :-) Anyway, it's all in God's hands.

McCain will get my vote as he is more conservative than the Democratic alternatives (pro-life, anti-gay marriage). I really believe that the Republicans are suffering from an identity crisis. You don't hear Democrats giving speeches about reaching across party lines. If the Republicans would truly stand up for conservative values as a whole, they would find themselves appealing to more people.
