How did you come to know and trust in Jesus Christ?

It's quite a long story actually, so I'll try to paraphrase it as best as I can.
I had backsliding since I was saved at a Billy Graham conference when I was 11, and I rededicated my life to Christ when I was almost 19yrs old. I was angry at God, so I made Him out to be something that I wanted, and eventually found out that without having to change Him, He was exactly what I needed! Urgessa led me to Christ in prayer that night, but God had moved on my heart to receive His love that He had for me in Christ.
Over the years I've learned to trust in Christ more and more, it didn't just happen all of a sudden. I've been learning that to trust Him I have to understand who he is, and that he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him : ) And since then, well...I guess I'll let you know as it continues!

What is the Gospel?

The Gospel, as far as I know, it is the good news of Jesus Christ. That God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only begotten Son; and that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life!
And "also" (and I think people forget this part that comes right after) That Christ has not come into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved! To elaborate more would have to take a lot more scripture, and a lot more interpretation, which I have, but that would take up too much space I'm afraid.
