How did you come to know and trust in Jesus Christ?

I was raised a Christian and accepted Him into my heart when I was just five years old. I went on a few missions trips before high school, was truly following God, backslid in high school with my friends who neutralized my spirit, then fell even farther away when I went away for college my freshman year.
Although I do not believe I ever lost my salvation, I was not right with God. I came back to Minneapolis to go to MCTC (a complete God thing), and decided to stop living the double life with one foot in the world and one in the church. I am so happy that God woke me up that Thursday evening in church just earlier this year. :-)

What is the Gospel?

The gospel is "good news" - the truth about Jesus. Most importantly, it is the good news that Jesus DIED for all sins in the world then rose again and his blood is readily available to anyone who will accept it.
The first step in receiving the Gospel, however, is recognizing that you are a sinner THEN accepting the blood that Jesus shed on the cross.
